Photos taken September 8th, 2001, by Dennis C., using a Fuji Finepix 1300 digital camera: Photos taken September 8th, 2001, By Aaron G, using a Casio QV3000EX digital camera:Ah, a beautiful sunny day in downtown Shelton! The perfect spot to view the cars as well and talk to the drivers and navigators. Here we are to view stage one of the rally. Due to some rather convoluted directions, we happened upon this apparently 'unofficial' viewing location (spectate at your own risk!). It turned out to be a great spot though, and no crowds to compete with for the best photos. Stage two was actually the same course as stage one, except this time we are at the official spectator area! As you can see, there's quite a crowd. The man with the large tripod mounted video camera is filming for Speedvision. The last section took place at an ORV park quite a bit west and south of the other stages. While you don't get nearly as close to the cars, you get a slightly better idea of how they handle the course, and there's more mud involved, as opposed to rock and dust on the other stages.
