SCS Fun Run, October 30th, 1999 |
| As the very first SCS fun-run, I hear it was a good one! Lack of an e-mail list or much communication meant that some members missed out, but those who participated toured the Cascade foothills around Carnation and North Bend, for some great fall colors. | |

SCS Fun Run, June 16th, 2001 |
| Starting in Issaquah, we headed through Maple Valley via SR18 and Hwy 169, then on to Enumclaw. From there, we drove east over Chinook Pass and down into Yakima for lunch at Miner's, a great drive-through which has been around since 1948. After lunch, we cruised up to Ellensburg via the Yakima River Canyon, then hopped onto I90 west to return home. Great weather and some fantastic scenery made this a very enjoyable trip. | |

SCS Dyno Day, August 4th, 2001 |
| An event designed for the true performance addict! This day gave us a chance to show off the modifications we've done to our cars, and run on a dynamometer to get hard numbers and graphs showing just what they can do! A total of eight Saabs were tested, while Rob and Sean from Scanwest Autosport provided technical support and fantastic stories. The current plan is to have another Dyno Day in the fall, when cooler temperatures and more flexible personal schedules should make for more power and more people! | |

SCS Fun Run, August 26th, 2001 |
| The packed schedules of summer are really showing for this Run! Only four cars and as many people are able to make it for the drive up to Bellingham via 405, I5, 9, and Chuckanut Drive. We stopped at Larabee State Park for a short while, then had lunch at a great Mexican place in Bellingham. Paul had to split after lunch, while Luke, Chris, and I took a leisurely drive through the backroads from Bellingham to Sultan. Did I say leisurely? Chris was kind enough to invite us over for drinks and a chat at his place for more Saab fun, thanks! | |

SCS visits the Wild West Pro Rally, September 8th, 2001 |
| Gregg and his son Adrian came down from Bellingham to stay with me for the weekend. We met with Dennis EARLY on Saturday morning to head to the rally, about 10 miles west of Shelton. What an awesome event! Lots of dust, a fair amount of walking, and plenty of fast cars with friendly drivers and pit crews! Or, as the participants sum up: Real roads, real fast. | |

SCS Fun Run, October 27th, 2001 |
| In an effort to share some great roads and experience the autumn foliage color before it blew away, Gregg suggested this run. We began on a rainy morning in Granite Falls, then headed to the Mountain Loop Highway and on to Darrington. We completed the day by cruising into Mount Vernon, after parting company with Gregg a few miles outside of town. We had lunch at yet another Mexican restaurant - this makes three Mexican restaurants in five official meetings, by my counting! Not a bad trend, I say.. This trip was some of the best scenery I've seen yet, we'll have to do it again when the sky is blue! | |

SCS Dyno Day, November 17th, 2001 |
| The boost junkies are at it again! Once more we have eight cars running on the dyno, only two of which are repeats from August, myself included. At one point we had FIVE black (ok four black and one grey) classic 900's in the parking lot, and the weather was sunny but cold, perfect! | |

SCS Dyno Day, July 13th, 2002 |
| The crowd for our third Dyno Daze started out rather slim indeed. While we eventually amassed a good sized spectator crowd, this was our smallest showing on the dyno, at only six cars running. Still, great weather, and good folks, made for an enjoyable event. | |

SCS at Saab Proving Grounds, June 3, 2003 |
| The SCS gang is back for more! The Saab Proving Grounds, hosted by Saab Cars USA, was held at the Emerald Downs in Auburn, WA. It offered enthusiasts a chance to take a spin in a new Saab, and compare it to the latest from Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Volvo. | |

SCS Dyno Day, November 8, 2003 |
| The 4th SCS "Dyno Daze" was another successful event with a variety of Saabs running for numbers. Daily drivers, full blown race setups and everything in between ran on the rollers. A few ran 200 whp and beyond, to the delight of thier owners, while others found themselves yearning for more. They'll be back. Count on it. | |

Swedish Car Cruise-In, February 18, 2007 |
| Volvo and Saab clubs met for a fun Northwest Swedish Car Cruise-In at the historic XXX Root Beer Drive-in at Issaquah. Despite a rather chilly, mostly overcast day, many folks turned out with their Swedish Iron. Several SCS members were in attendance. James Nakatsu's pics Dan Morley's pics |
