Notes on Costs:

*All costs summer of 2004.

*I would recommend buying the ecu from a North American distributor who will offer support. Trust me, you will need to have your hand held. When you can't figure out something would you rather call Australia or someone like PTR who will answer all questions quickly?

*The $400 for the install and tune was a steal. I would expect to pay more. Of course you can do this yourself. I wanted my car running in a few days--not the months it may have taken me to work out all the obstacles. Plus I did not have any energy for the headaches involved. It can be done. My friend Kooch started on Friday night and drove his car to work on Monday morning with an aftermarket ecu. Don't try this at home unless you have a backup plan/car.

*At $279 a pop, the wide band only lives in the exhaust when I have tuning sessions planned. I am hoping that is the last one that I will have to purchase.

*If this is going into a Saab, contact ScanWest for the 2.1 parts, tune up parts and the Air Temp Sensor. http://www.scanwestauto.com

*I found the Green Top 42 lb injectors at Central Florida Motorsports. They will sell in sets of four. The best deal out there at the time. See link in resource section.

*If you don't have a lap top you should include this cost as well. I traded for an old lap top running Windows 95. It works fine for my application. I stripped all the programs off of the Lap Top that are not in use for the Stinger to lesson the chances of the thing crashing. You can pick up an old lap top fairly cheaply. In the car I use a power inverter as all the lap top batteries were d.o.a.
